Regional Background

Pittsburgh is the second-largest city in the US Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the county seat of Allegheny County. It has an active volunteer community, from groups cleaning up trash, homeless shelter and soup kitchens, removing invasive vegetation, collecting donations for books and learning material, and countless others. Pittsburgh also has a wonderful art, music and cultural life that is very active and very diverse.
