COE Director Report

“Because of the organic nature of PROJECT 25 and Green Across the World, Children of The Earth was given a platform for an interactive discussion, which lead to the presentation of Children of the Earth’s (peace) work and projects around the world.”
- Princess Ukaga, COE Director

Project 25, The International Youth and Leadership Summit for Culture and (the) Environment was held November 11th -13th at the University of Vermont Billings Center. This collaboration project shared by “Green Across the World,” “ Young Writers Project,” “ Rubenstein School of Environment & Natural Resources at UVM” and “The Bay & Paul Foundations” gathered in an effort to develop and maintain a virtual relationship facilitating intercultural conversations that will last.

Student leadership teams from a dozen schools worked to forge face-to-face connections with international partners, including COE, to research and problem solve environmental issues of common interest.

COE Director, Princess Ukaga, lead an interactive discussion while attending the three day event and shares her experiences here:

“The summit was a wonderful three days together. As a team, we worked to create connections with international partners to prepare, research and problem solve issues shared across the globe.

Because of the organic nature of PROJECT 25 and Green Across the World, Children of The Earth was given a platform for an interactive discussion, which lead to the presentation of Children of the Earth’s (peace) work and projects around the world. COE planning and moving forward was fluid and responsive to the needs of the participants. At the end of the conference the mission was achieved.”
