COE Chapter Leader for United Arab Emirates and India (Northern) carried the Olympic Flame 2012 as the youngest Olympic Torch Bearer from the Gulf Region

As said by His Excellency Nelson Mandela, "After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb".  Simran embarks as COE Chapter Leader for United Arab Emirates and India (Northern) to share her ideas and work on projects for the benefit of the children and the society.

Simran Vedvyas, the youngest torch bearer from UAE and region, gracefully carried the Olympic Flame during the London 2012 Olympic Games at Hinderwell United Kingdom, on 18th June 2012.

A young, energetic, humble and ever smiling, always ready to walk an extra mile to help others are some words to describe Simran Vedvyas who is a student at The Millennium School Dubai, as also the Environment Prefect, Best Buddies Prefect and the Head Girl for the Arabic Club of the school.  Simran is one of the only six chosen from UAE.

Nominated and sponsored by Samsung Gulf Electronics as social campaigner and a ‘star’ student of the school,  Simran aspires to represent Peace, Unity and Friendship.”

Thousands of residents of North Yorkshire United Kingdom, including young and old, toddlers and elders lined on both sides of the streets to cheer up the torch bearer as passing the streets.  The special convoys and caravans with security managed the show so well.  The enthusiasm to cheer the torch bearer was something to watch out for.
