COE Romania: The light of my spirit for the benefit of people

July 14, 2012

Iulia Tantas from Romania's statement of vision and life purpose. Intention setting in motion the wheels of her story. COE is setting up the first Romania Chapter to make voices like hers sound across borders.

Being a child, I got a spyglass as a birthday present from my beloved granny, who always was a model for me, teaching us to live in peace and harmony. Playing with it I discovered that it can take me to a new world, an endless world without limits. There, I could reach the stars and put them together in a string, making a stardust way to lead me into a place where I could be anything. Suddenly, I decided to be an adult for a day, to act according to my wishes without any barriers. To be able to do this, I had to learn more about humanity. I used my spyglass again, to help me to get rid of the veil that covers an adult inner structure. I didn’t like to see a heart filled with goodness and badness, selfishness and care, love and hate.

I, as a young teenager, want to become a strong human being. I am who I am and I don’t want to change the beauty of my spirit, only to adjust myself to be an adult. I had to fight against the shadows that grew inside the adult heart, to replace the darkness with lightness and for sure to keep my soul as light as a feather.

This is the kind of person I want to be. If I am able to arrange my life and use my free will to enhance my purpose, I will dedicate myself to the greatest good of all. I will look for keeping the innocence in adult behavior and recognize what causes the loss of it. Innocence is a powerful tool that I don’t want to lose along with the childish spirit and tremendous joy of life I feel as a human being.

Now, I understand the meaning of my granny’s present. She wanted me to be prepared for the world I will soon enter and to let me know what I have to face and to teach me how to use the light of my spirit in the benefit of people.
