Music Concert for Africa

If you are into folk punk, funk and blues or just curious to hear music with Appalachian, Scandinavian, Middle Eastern and classical Indian influences, then you are in for a treat. On February 26th 2011, some of the finest bands and musicians in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will come together to make music in support of Children of the Earth (COE).

The event is organised by Michael F. Dodin, COE’s Hub Leader in Pennsylvania (USA), together with friend and fellow musician, Benjamin Salbach-Walsh. Funds will go to Samuel Ayivi (Hub leader and musician in Togo, West Africa) to support him and his friends in their medical costs of a recent car accident and replace the instruments lost in the crash.

Some of the confirmed acts include: “Endless Mike and the Beagle Club”, “Brairhoppers”, “For Greater Consiousness”, “Kukeri”, Adam Rauf and Nina Federico.

It promises to be an eclectic mix of local acts from Pennsylvania – a night not to be missed!
