Simran from COE UAE Honored by GESS Education Awards with Community Award for Citizenship

GESS Education Awards celebrates success in the education sector and honors elite educators including teachers, schools and educational professionals, suppliers and distributors at a glittering award ceremony organized at the H Hotel in Dubai UAE. The awards highlighted and rewarded the quality and diversity of educational products, resources, services and people as well as the best educational establishments and the most dedicated members of the teaching profession.

Simran Vedvyas, a senior at Universal American School Dubai and Founder of youth group, SynergY was awarded the ‘Community Award for Citizenship’ and was a finalist ‘Ambassador for the Environment’ for her unparalleled community service and environmental work in the region.

Wishing all the winners success and expressing her gratitude Simran quotes Picasso, as “Action is the foundational key to all success”, she ardently continues to say, “It feels great to be appreciated and recognized for the work that you do. I started out as just an active seven year old who wanted a new hobby and my work has become something different altogether. For me winning this award only supports that thought.”

At just seventeen, she is an inspiration and founder of SynergY youth group, who work to promote sustainability. She is a true catalyst inspiring everyone with her simplicity and grit.
