Simran from UAE Chosen for Climate Reality Leadership Corps
Simran, from COE United Arab Emirates Attends Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training Conducted by Former US Vice President Al Gore
The Climate Reality Project, founded and chaired by former Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore, is dedicated to unleashing a global cultural movement demanding action on the climate crisis. Despite overwhelming international scientific consensus on climate change, the global community still lacks the resolve to implement meaningful solutions. The Climate Reality Project exists to forge an unwavering bedrock of impassioned support necessary for urgent action. With that foundation, together we will ignite the moral courage in our leaders to solve the climate crisis.
The Climate Reality Project employs cutting-edge communications and grassroots engagement tools to break the dam of inaction and raise the profile of the climate crisis to its proper state of urgency. With a global movement more than 5 million strong and a grassroots network of Climate Leaders trained by Chairman Al Gore, we stand up to denial, press for solutions, and spread the truth about climate change to empower our leaders to solve the climate crisis.
Simran was selected to represent UAE in the Climate Reality Leadership Corps and recently attended training by the Former Vice-President of the United States and Chairman of Climate Reality – Al Gore. Leaders from over 70 countries and 50 states were represented at the training session held earlier this month in Chicago.
Simran is now a proud member of this elite group as Climate Leader from UAE. “I am proud to join this elite group of Climate Leaders who are the frontline agents for change, tackling the climate crisis head-on. As a leader I look forward to engage the community with Acts of Leadership, building networks of truth, and inspiring solutions and action in our community. I understand clearly that becoming a Climate Leader is a big responsibility and I am banking on the community and corporate communities to support me as a Climate Leader to engage the local media, activate social networks and — most of all — inspire communities around the region to join in and confront the most defining issue of our time” commented Simran.
The newly trained Climate Leaders will work in more than 100 countries to engage and educate their communities about climate change. In the coming months Simran is determined to work as Climate Leader for Climate Reality and commit to Climate Acts which will make a difference.
