Children In Pakistan Celebrate the International Day of Peace

On September 21st, Pakistan chapter leader Jahangir Piara, celebrated the International Day of Peace together with the children of the Orphan Care Organization and with students and teachers of the Renaissance Education Foundation School.

The Event started with a peace walk dedicated to all the victims of the recent flood that affected Pakistan. During the walk the children waved joyously the flags of all countries expressing their love for all nations. Afterwards everyone shared a moment of silence and send prayers of Peace to the flood victims as well as to all brothers and sisters in the world who are suffering due to natural catastrophes, violence and other problems.

Jahangir had the opportunity to share some beautiful words of hope and inspiration with the kids and Shakeel Earnest, the Youth Coordinator read the message of the UN secretary General Ban Ki Moon. At the closing of the Event, Origami Dolls with the words “May Peace Prevail on Earth” written in the Urdu language, were distributed among the students.
