Relief Efforts in Sukkur, Pakistan

January 23, 2011

With the contribution of 30164 Rupees that COE raised, Ashfaque our Chapter Leader in Sukkur, Pakistan donated 3000 wheat breads, Ramadan food and fresh water to some of the victims who were most in need. He was also able to offer 2 full cooked meals to 20 families including 25 men, 40 women and 85 children age 3-15 making a total of 150 people. As recently 4 children died and 10 women suffered miscarriages in one of the camps where Ashfaque is helping, he purchased medicine to donate to women and  specially children who are suffering from gastro-infection.  Many families are still in flooded areas and Ashfaque is helping transfer some of those families to various relief camps.
The dissaster relief efforts are continuing and further donations would be very much appreciated. Thank you to all those who have contributed and are sending prayers to the people of Pakistan!
