When considering different concepts for developing a school of the future, it is not necessary to focus only on protecting the environment. Young people already grasp the basic ideas of sustainability and green issues.

My mom, Dawn Hochsprung, was the principal at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
Six months ago today, she was shot and killed in her school, along with five of her coworkers and 20 of her students.

SynergY Youth and COE Chapter leader Simran Vedvyas were given an award on Earth Day 2013 by Dubai Municipality for planting 120 trees at a landfill area and for their green efforts. A unique campaign inspired many to plant trees and also reduce waste and what is going to the landfills.
